When the search engine designs answers"yes" to the question"may be that the government of the United States evil?" , a computer programmer is detained and kept in isolation. Desperate, however, keenly aware of the potential effect on the public of the answer, the programmer strikes a deal with his interrogators, agreeing to re-design the software. While they try to find ways to modify its response and hunt to understand the program answered an question, patience and the faith of both programmer and his captors are put into the test. Suspenseful and darkly comic, S.E.R.P. can be a film about coercion, invention, and if it is potential to do some thing good at the service of something evil.
