The Kids in the Hall

The Kids in the Hall is a sketch comedy Band Created in 1984, consisting of comedians Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson. Their eponymous television series conducted from 1988 to 1994 from the United States on CBC from Canada, and 1989 to 1995 on HBO and CBS. The theme tune for this particular series was the instrumental"Having an Average Weekend" by the Canadian group Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet. The troupe made one movie. The troupe reformed for humor festivals and various tours in 2000. They introduced an eight-part Mini-series, Death Comes to Town in January. The name of the group came from Sid Caesar, that, when a joke did not go over, or played worse than anticipated, could attribute it to"the kids in the hall", speaking to an organization of young writers hanging around the studio.
