Countdown
Countdown can be a game show involving word and number puzzles. It is made by ITV Studios and broadcast on Channel 4. Nick Hewer, aided by Rachel Riley, using Frequent lexicographer Susie Dent presents it. It had been the very first programme November 1982, and 6 7 series have been broadcast since its introduction on 2. Countdown is one of those longest-running match shows in the entire world, alongside the French edition, Des chiffres et des lettres, which was running since 1965 continuously on French television. Before moving to Granada Studios in 2009, and then around to MediaCityUK in Salford Quays in 2013 countdown was initially listed for 27 years at The Leeds Studios.
The plan was presented by Richard Whiteley for twenty years, until his departure in June 2005. It was subsequently introduced by Des Lynam before the conclusion of 2011 before the conclusion of 2006, Des O'Connor before the conclusion of 2008, also Jeff Stelling. The presenter is Nick Hewer.

And the conundrum, a buzzer around where the contestants compete to solve a nine-letter anagram. Throughout the string heats, the winning contestant returns until he or she loses or has collected eight wins. The contestants are invited back to get the string finals, which are decided in knockout arrangement. Press coverage has been received by contestants of exceptional skill, and also the programme in general is widely recognised and parodied within British culture.
